I’m sure know one reads this blog, but soon perhaps they will! I self-published a 2nd edition of my book, Land of Harmonia: Runesong. The first book in a series, it is available here. I will post more often, but things are a little bumpy right now. I”m looking for funding to bring this project into full and generous bloom. See the Executive Summary under the About section.

A fellow piano teacher has volunteered to pitch Land of Harmonia:Runesong at the Professional Music Teachers of New Mexico Conference in Albuquerque, November 8-9, 2019. It will be my first foray into marketing but more to come.

This is just a quick post to relate that there is a lot of activity on many fronts right now. The ebook is going to be released any day now. My dreams of an “enhanced” ebook (complete with images and music), will have to wait for the nonce. Most likely I will create that in iBooks first.

The 2nd edition of the print book is out on Amazon. You can find it here. I’ve posted some new images from Alexandra Mihai. (see under the  page “The Book”)

I am going to begin posting more. It’s been a trail of travail at this point. When you are poor, you move slow as everything is old and breaking and survival takes up so. much. time.

But, I am working on new music for this site and there is new artwork and a former student, Daniel Onstott, came up with an a amazing set of rules for the card and board games.

People loved the 1st edition of the debut book in the Land of Harmonia Trilogy: Runesong. But I, wanting to make the best story I can, decided to make it even better. Hopefully I’ve created even more of a page-turner than before. If you are learning music, love fantasy and adventure, or are a student of the science of sound and vibration, this book is for you! Stay tuned as we like to say and I will update the progress of the book.

Yes. I’m working on the 2nd edition of the book. I plan to publish before the end of summer. Concurrently, I’m rallying my creative energy around finishing the card game and perhaps a nod to the game board. It’s a lot on meager resources, but still I press on through the storm of adversity.

It isn’t really the last day of summer, but Labor Day in the USA has managed to appropriate the mojo of the last day of summer. (Except for those of us who live by the solstice and moon calendar!)

I always experience a hollow feeling at the end of summer because the Muyudal (portal) opened during the Midsummer (Mead) full moon. But if you read the book, you know that there are other magical means to travel through the Etherium. 😉

All that is well and good, but what I really want to share with you is Alex’s first sketch of Gee the Ghost:

Alas! The working flow is often difficult. I am working with Alex on the character images for the ghosts, Gee and Goo. They will go on their parchments on this website, and also in the Card Game. Many of the characters have already been rendered and some are up on the site. Click around and you’ll find them.

This incredible world of Harmonia is oozing with potential but time and money are dear at this point. Still, work goes on.

I’m not sure which will make it out next, the card game, or the E-book, but I’m working on both of them. Everything is happening at the pace that it can but as always, I would love to find a way to partner with a large media entity such as Disney. Harmonia would be such a cool movie!

The Land of Harmonia project began as a (successful) kickstarter campaign. I very much enjoyed putting together the content and I still feel that it is the best overview of the project, especially the video. You can check it out here.

As a result, I self-published the first book in the series, Runesong, and created this website. It took a while to…much longer than I anticipated to get the the book out. Three years in fact! I didn’t take into account how much longer everything takes when you are living at the poverty level. Nevertheless, once more into the breach, and I am sending the the books to more backers next week.

In the meantime, Alexandra Mihai (artist) and I are working on the images for the long-awaited card game.

After much hard work, Runesong, the first book in the Land of Harmonia series, is out on Amazon. I am now working on updating the website and completing the images for all the characters. (Click on each of the houses on the Grand Staff Tree®, or Mithra Udal as we say in Harmonia.) The more images we render, the closer we are to bringing the Card Game, based on the book, to market. I am also revising some of the audio on the website to better reflect the characters as they developed in the process of writing the book.

Many of the images you see as you click around the site, such as the gold Tala Coins, belong to the proposed idea for a physical game board, enhanced e-book, and app.  I am still looking for that Angel Investor!
